The sleeping arrangements in our accommodation units are as follows:

16 Caravan/ camping sites:
6 Persons per site maximum, each with its own private ablutions and braai.

4 Cottages:
Sleep 4
2 single beds, and a double sleeper couch.

12 Chalets:
Sleep 4
2 single beds, or 1 kingsize bed, and a double sleeper couch

4 De-luxe units:
Sleep 6
4 single beds, or 2 kingsize beds, and a double sleeper couch.

Makana Resort, situated in the heart of Grahamstown, has recently been renovated, and offers the following services:-

Accommodation:

Twelve chalets
Four Cottages
Four De-luxe Units
Sixteen Caravan or Camping Sites, each with its' own private ablutions

The chalets and cottages are all fully serviced for your comfort. The chalets, cottages, and De-luxe units are fully furnished, and all have large screen DSTV.
Also, each has its own separate entrance, for privacy and independence.
There are single and double room accommodation units, and all units have their own shower and toilet.

Each unit has its own braai (barbecue) area, and there is also a covered braai area, for visiting or just lazing around.

Conferencing

Our conference facility is able to accommodate up to 120 delegates, seated cinema style, or 60 at tables, and is equipped with full, state of the art audio-visual equipment, including:

Overhead Projector,
DVD/Cassette player ,
Plasma Screen Television Set

The conference room is fully air-conditioned, and our highly trained staff will provide exceptional support to our clients.

Restaurant

The restaurant is open 7 days a week for all meals. All are welcome, whether staying at Makana Resort or elsewhere, subject to booking.

Buffet cum table d' hotel breakfasts:

Fruit juice;
fruit;
a selection of cereals;
a choice of porridges;
a breakfast dish;
eggs to order;
grilled bacon;
toast, with an assortment of jams and marmalades

and all rounded off with tea or coffee.

Dinner and Sunday lunch

We provide a full buffet dinner and Sunday lunch.

Lunch

At midday an optional, comprehensive pub-lunch menu or finger lunch will be offered

Snack Shop

There is also a small convenience shop, on site, for use by guests, that offers emergency items such as toiletries and snacks.

Swimming Pool and playground.

Our well kept swimming pools are available to all our guests, both adults and children.
Playground equipment is reserved for use by children only.
